Perceptions

What are you doing right now? Like, right now? Sitting at the computer?

How do you know? Is it because you can see the screen? You can hear the computer? Feel the keys? But... When you sleep...

In your dreams, don't you see things? Feel things? Can't you hear and touch and sense in your dreams? How, when you don't see with your eyes, do you?

This is because all youe eyes do is detect light, all your ears do is detect sound waves... The nerves to your skin just send signals to your brain... And your mind tells you to perceive what those signals are... If you let them.

So, in reality, isn't what you see and what you feel the same as what you think? You see the world around you because you think that's what is there. But, if you really didn't think that was what was there, if you ignored your senses for a while...

It's common sense that what you do is who you are. It is said that action begets personality. And thought begets action. What you think is who you are. And if you are something... Doesn't that mean that, well, you are that? If you thought you were someone else, something else, you'd be that thing... And no one can tell you otherwise because aren't you just the same person you were to them, because they think you are? In their world, you are who they think you are. In yours, you could be whatever you want. And it is your world.

Sorry for the horrible time division. We live on the very edges of the world. Drop us a line. And for a second... If only... If you ignored your senses for a while...
